Re-introducing Me

Kristin Diehl, Travel Advisor

As I approach my third year working as an independent Travel Advisor for SmartFlyer, I decided to re-launch my business identity. After operating under my brand, Depart & Discover, I made the business decision to brand under what my client know and trust, my name.

I operate in an industry of relationships. Nothing is more genuine, personal, and recognizable than your own name. My clients rely on me for my trusted relationships with all my global contacts, so it makes sense to simplify my identity.

Launched this week, Kristin Diehl, Travel Advisor, will offer the same travel advising services many of you have come to trust. My new promise is to show more of a personal side of my daily life, client’s travels, and my personal travel.

Never worked with an agent. Well, the first question I am asked is typically about fees. I cropped-01i8837.jpgdo not charge any fees for my standard booking services. By booking with an agent, you have access to my preferred partnerships and memberships, and you never pay more than what you would pay direct or online! Agents are paid of commission from the hotels and tour groups. So, no matter if you book via AMEX or Expedia, someone is labeled as your agent. Need more, read “Why Work with and Agent”.

So, who am I? Well, I was born and raised in Hammond, Louisiana where I grew up lucky enough to spend time traveling stateside and my beloved Caribbean before I headed to college at The University of Georgia. I spent four amazing years in Athens, building life-long friendships and traveling the globe with them. After graduation, my thirst for white, sandy beaches (and St. John Brewers Pale Ale) brought me to St. John USVI where I met my husband! After that, we spent time bouncing around from Charleston, Nantucket, Baton Rouge, Boise, and then some. After being married back on St. John at Caneel Bay, we are now settled, with a family of four, in Baton Rouge!

Thanks for following along on this adventure and don’t hesitate to contact me.
